While we strive to make an offer on every enquiry, there are occasions where purchasing your unwanted car is not commercially viable.

In these cases, 1800 Salvage is still committed to providing our customers with a practical solution for your old car. That’s why we’re proud to provide professional vehicle removal and destruction services for vehicles that cannot be salvaged or resold.

Our comprehensive service includes secure scrap car removal, responsible repurposing where possible, and environmentally compliant destruction, ensuring a hassle-free outcome for our customers.

Our experienced Paid Removal Services team identifies the most cost-effective and efficient solution to remove your asset while ensuring your space is cleared safely, professionally, and with complete peace of mind.

How Our Car Removal Service Works

Once you provide photos of the unwanted vehicle and details about its location and accessibility, we assess its value alongside the estimated towing, transport, and labour costs. Based on this assessment, we provide a tailored quote for collection.

If you choose to proceed, we'll issue a simple contract of sale and invoice. Once these have been signed and payment has been received, we'll coordinate the collection at a date and time that suits you. One of our trusted removal partners will then collect your car, boat, motorcycle, caravan, or any other asset you need removed.

Every removal is quoted individually, taking into account the asset's condition, location, accessibility, and associated removal costs. This ensures you receive a fair and accurate price rather than a one-size-fits-all fee.

Responsible Disposing of Boats

Responsibly disposing of a fibreglass boat involves much more than simply placing it out for hard rubbish collection. Before disposal, the vessel must be stripped of hazardous materials, and any reusable or recyclable components should be removed.

All oils, fuel, and bilge water must be safely drained and the boat fully depolluted. These hazardous liquids must then be transported to approved waste facilities for proper disposal.

Because raw fibreglass is non-biodegradable and difficult to recycle, disposal requirements vary between facilities. In many cases, the hull must be cut into smaller, manageable sections before it can be accepted at a transfer station or landfill.

Requirements also differ between local councils and waste facilities. Many charge disposal or demolition fees based on weight and have specific guidelines for accepting fibreglass, trailers, and hazardous materials.

At 1800 Salvage, we simplify the entire process. Through our trusted network of licensed demolition and disposal partners, we can arrange for your boat to be collected, transported, and disposed of responsibly, saving you the time, effort, and uncertainty of navigating the process yourself.

Responsible Disposing of Non-Salvageable Vehicles:

If your damaged car has reached the end of its life and is no longer suitable for resale, repair, or salvage, responsible recycling is the most environmentally sound solution.

Vehicle recycling is far more complex than simply crushing a car and sending it to landfill. It is a carefully managed process designed to maximise material recovery while ensuring hazardous substances are disposed of safely.

The 5-Step Vehicle Recycling Process

1. Depollution

All hazardous materials, including fuel, oils, coolant, brake fluid, batteries, airbags, and refrigerant gases, need to be safely removed and disposed of at approved facilities.

2. Dismantling

The vehicle is dismantled, and any components that remain in good condition are removed for reuse or resale, extending the life of valuable parts.

3. Shredding

Once reusable parts have been removed, the remaining vehicle shell is processed through an industrial shredder to break it down into smaller pieces.

4. Material Separation

Advanced sorting systems separate ferrous metals (steel and iron) from non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, and other recyclable materials.

5. Recycling

The recovered metals are processed and supplied to steel mills and manufacturers, where they are used to produce new products, significantly reducing the need for virgin raw materials.

Responsible vehicle recycling is a specialised process that cannot be rushed. At 1800 Salvage, we work with licensed recycling partners to ensure every end-of-life vehicle is collected, processed, and recycled safely, ethically, and in accordance with environmental regulations.
